easter eggs, naturally.

I’d been hearing for a while about using natural dyes for eggs, and decided to give it a go today. I wanted blue and green, and while the spinach was a big fail (I probably did it wrong), that red cabbage produced a nice light blue color. Next year Seth will be old enough to appreciate this more, so I’ll probably do more colors. I’ve heard turmeric can make a nice yellow, and cranberries a pretty pink. Here is my hard-cooked handwork, ready-to-eat:
